It is our pleasure to invite you to an outdoor exhibition “Our Country - Times of Change,” which you can see at the chateau’s courtyard until 14th October 2020. You can see part of the exhibition for Pilsner, South Bohemia and Karlovy Vary region. The entrance for the exhibition is free of charge. Exhibition is open during the chateau’s opening time (9:00 - 18:00)

As you already know, there is almost no original furniture left at the chateau. The Renaissance stove from 16th century is one of the few treasures that we are proud of. The stove is composed of different shaped tiles, which are broken to pieces now. There is a small door in the wall that allowed servants to feed the fire from the adjoining room, which was once a hallway or balcony....

Leaving their lives in Prague behind, Markéta Kaplanová, former national coach of Czech swimming federation and her husband Michal, real estate broker in the fall of 2016, bought together with their relatives’ the chateau at Nemilkov in Klatovy region. They moved close to the Šumava mountains, and together with their family they are trying to bring life back to the chateau and rediscover its beauty. However, it is not easy....

After weeks of promising, it is finally happening. I am sitting at my computer writing. Our blog has not been updated for more than 2 years. It’s unbelievable…. So, I am getting into it with a topic I have been thinking about for a long time. What did the whole Nemilkov adventure look like to me, my parents’ son? It seems to me that we had been talking about buying a chateau forever....
